OPOTIKI TO WHAKATANE VIEWS OF COUNTY COUNCIL [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN COimESPONTJF.NT] OPOTTKI, Saturday The proposed railway extension from Taneatua to Opotiki and the provision of a good highway between Opotiki and Whakatano were discussed at the monthly meeting of the Opotiki County Council. Members suggested that a public meeting should be held to arouse interest in the proposals. It was decided to hold a public meeting in Opotiki and invite all local bodies to attend, also Mr. A. G. Hllltquist, M.P. for the district.
