FINAL MATCH PLAYED FORWARD TALENT REVEALED PROBABLES BEAT POSSIBLES CHASE AND CAMPBELL 'SHINE The final Rugby League trial game was played at Carlaw Park yesterday, when the Probables defeated the Possibles bv 27 points to 18. Tho game added to the difficulties of tho selectors as more good talent was revealed among the forwards. The backs were evenly matched, although L. Brown, Canterbury, the Possibles halfback, played a splendid game with his forwards beaten for the ball.

Among the Probables forwards, Clark, Canterbury, stood out as the best forward 011 tho ground. Mitchell and Jones also played well, and in the second half, Petersen was prominent. The wing-threequarters for the Probables, Campbell, Canterbury, and Chase, Auckland, played ' splendid games, and were easily the best threequarters, seen in the trial games. Banham, at five-eighths, showed greatlyimproved form, and was tho pick of tho inside backs. .

Of the Possibles, Smith, at fullback, was outstanding, and his clean fielding was a feature of the game. Davison oh the wing also played a good game. Among the forwards, ■ Cameron and Cootes wore outstanding. Soon after the kick-off. Probables' forwards, headed by Clark and Satherley, raced away and from u scramble, Mitcholl scored. Chaso failed to convert. From a set scrum. Sterling mado a nice opening, and passed to Banham, who cat in nicely, but his pass to Kiely was too high and a try was lost. Good play. by Cameron and Morgan saw Cootes race over for a good try, which Smith converted. Chaso then equalised tho scores with a penalty goal. Good passing by the Possibles, carried play to tho Probables line, but Marshall, held on when Cooper could have scored. FAREWELL TO TOURISTS A lojig discussion took place at the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening concerning the parade of all teams at Carlaw Park on July 22' to farewell the Auckland players in the New Zealand team. Delegates predicted a full muster of the lower grades and the chairman "stated that already dressing and seating accommodation had been arranged.
