ENJOYABLE AT HOME
THE OFFICERS' CLUB DANCING AND COMPETITIONS GAY AND COLOURFUL SCENE The colourful uniforms of the three services added to ihr> brilliance of the scene at the Officers' Club on Saturday night when a delightful At Home was given by the president and officers of the club. In the ballroom, twisted gold and red streamers radiating from floor centrepieces completely covered the ceiling and were illuminated by rows of tinted electric lights. Coloured bunting and flags, interspersed with stands of fine bamboo foliage, added to the bright effect. A smaller room was available for bridge players, while in the billiard room competitive games were held. Supper was served on the roof garden, which was entirely enclosed with coloured awnings for the occasion. The guests were received by the president, Lieutenant-Colonel K. MacCorn lick, and Mrs. MacCormick, who wore a frock of magnolia embroidered net banded with rows of cinnamon brown velvet ribbon.
