[ TEAM FOR ENGLAND PLAYERS IN LEAGUE FIRST EIGHT SELECTED FURTHER TRIAL TO-MORROW Following upon the playing of the trial matches at Carlaw Park on Saturday afternoon, the selectors of the NewZealand Rugby League team, Messrs. J. A. Redwood, T. A. McClymont and J. Amos, choso the following eight players, five forwards and three backs, for the team to tour England and Franco later in the year:—

BACKS J. Heini, 12st. olb., Auckland. D. Solomon, 12st. 21b., Auckland. W. Tittleton, 12st., Auckland. FORWARDS P. Ririnui, lost. 101b., Auckland. H. M. Milliken, 16st. 31b., Auckland.' Jl. King, 14st. 71b., Canterbury. G. Orman, 13st. 121b., West Coast. G. Beadle, 14st. 61b., South Auckland. A further trial game is to be played to-morrow, after which an additional 38 players will be selected. It is not expected that the final team will be announced until \\ edncsday evening. Versatile Back J. Hemi is a Maori, 26 years of age, and formerly played Rugby for Wairarapa. He went to Australia in 1935 with the New Zealand Rugby Union team. He was the outstanding player in the New Zealand League team in Australia last year, playing on tho wing, centre and fullback positions. W. Tittleton has represented 'New Zealand at League on several occasions, and is one of the soundest backs in the game. He came originally from South Auckland, and can play well at centre or five-eighths. He is a member of the Richmond Club. ' D. Solomon is a recent convert from the Rugby Union code. He won All Black honours in 1935. He has represented Auckland on many occasions, and has played both at fullback, fiveeighths and halfback. His brilliant positional play has been a feature of League club games since coming over to the code about seven weeks ago. Find of the Season G. Beadle, the Huntly forward, is the find of the season, and he has been a prolific scorer in club competitions. He lias plenty of pace and is a deadly tackier. Beadle is expected to make A name for himself in England. R. King is a school teacher, and he represented the New Zealand University Rugby team in 1931. He also represented Canterbury in 1931-2-3-4. In 193-5 he wont to England and played League football for the Warrington Club. He was the highest scorer among English forwards, getting 26 tries in the 1930-36 season. An English writer included King among the best ten forwards in England.

H. M. Milliken has worn the All Black jersey at Eugby, and in Australia two years ago was one of the best performers. He is a powerful player in the scrums, and his recent form has been very impressive. G. Orman has represented the South Island at Rugby, and ..transferred to the League code two years ago. He was a membfcr of the IN'ew Zealancl team which toured Australia last, ye.ar, and was a successful hooker. He plays for lnangnhua, on the West Coast.

P. Ririnui, a member of the Manukau Club, first came into prominence playing for the combined Poverty BayBay of Plenty-East Coast team against the Springboks last year. P. J. Nel, the South African captain, paid Ririnui a compliment by classing him as one of the best forwards seen in New Zealand. He has taken some time to pick lip the finer points of the game, but can now be claimed as the leading forward in the League game to-day.
