BACON CHAMPIONSHIP JUDGING IN LONDON Permission had been received by the Whangarei Agricultural and Pastoral Society from the Meat Board to ship the four highest scoring sides of bacon in the National Bacon Pig championship judged at the Whangarei Winter Show to London, where further judging will take place, on the English standard. It is not possible to export the sides frozen, so negotiations are being made to store the sides with ship's stores in the refrigerator of a liner.
