MARKETS OVERSHADOWED COMMODITY BUSINESS EASES LONDON, June 2a Political anxieties continue to overshadow the markets, it is feared that increasing Japanese activities will embolden the axis in Europe. The Stock Kxchange turnover has fallen to negligible levels. It savs much for the strength of the technical position that prices arc no worse. Gilt-edged stocks closed fractionally above last week's prices. Dominion issues remain dull. The volume of business on the commodity marßets has also declined. Price changes are narrow.

NEW YORK BUSINESS DECLINE IN PAST WEEK NEW YORK, Juno 23 Turnover 011 the New York Stock Exchange to-day totalled -180,000 stocks and shares.
