WAIKATO SYNOD
ARCHBISHOP TO PREACH [from OUIt owx correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday The Waikato Diocesan Synod will open in St. Peter's Cathedral next Sunday evening, when the preacher will be Archbishop Averill. The clergy of the diocese will meet on Monday and Tuesday, and on Tuesday evening Synod will be constituted at evensong in the cathedral. Tlio Itev. G. A. Grossman, vicar of St. Aidan's, will preach the Synod sermon. The Bishop of Waikato, Bishop Clierriugton, will preside at the meeting of Synod in tlio Synod Hall, and will deliver his charge. Several important meetings, including that of the Maori .Mission committee, have been arranged for Synod week. The Waikato representatives of General Synod will bo elected.
