DEFENCE OF DARWIN
AIR force station OPENING SPEEDED-UP TEMPORARY SQUADRON DARWIN, June 23 The Koynl Australian Air Force station at Darwin, which was to have been opened next year, will now be opened almost immediately. A temporary squadron of Avro Anson bombers will bo stationed here within three months. The decision to hasten the establishment of the unit is regarded as a significant precedent in air defence practice.
