GIRL CYCLIST KILLED
INJURIES TO COMPANION STRUCK BY A MOTOR-CAR POLICE ARREST THE DRIVER [by TELEGRAM! —rRESS association] GISBORNE, Friday While cycling to town this evening, Miss Iris Annie Berry, aged 22, living at Makaraka, was killed instantly, and a companion, Reno Smith, aged 17, also of Makaraka, suffered injuries through being struck by a motor-car. The driver of the car was subsequently arrested on a charge of intoxication.
