DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULT OF YARDING EVENT [by TELEGRAPH —PPESS association] CHRISTCHURCH, Ffiday The New Zealand and South Island dog trial championships were resumed after postponement because of bad weather. Tho yarding event, in which there, were GO entries, including several dogs from the east coast of the North Island and a number from Otago, was completed. The South Island championship resulted:—Xl. A. Matheson's (Middlemareh) Little Jim. 58 points, 1; ■I. W. McGaveston's (Waipukurau) entry. .*>s points, 2; H. White's- (Springfield) Frisk. 54 points, 3; W. F. Ross' (Methven) Toby, 53% ins. i; J. w. McGaveston's Zoe, 53 points. 5; K. G. Rutherford's (Parnassus) Star and •J. F. Wilsher's (Pahiatua) Roy, 52% points, equal, 6. The New Zealand championship for the first seven dogs in the South Island championship resulted:—McGaveston's Dick, 107% points, 1; Matheson's Little Jim, 106 points, 2; McGaveston's Zoe-. 105% points. 3. South Island Huntaway Event.—A. Giles' = (Clarence Bridge), Spee, 57 points, 1; J. A. Nelson's (Winton), Brandy, 56%, 2; A. Henderson*; (Oamaru). Dick, 56. 3; W. Da-npier-CrosSffy's (Waiau), Rock, 55%, 4; A. Shand's (C'ulmden). Toss. 54, 5; C. J. Crutchley's (Central Otago), Dick, 53%, 6, and B \ CAllaghan's; (South Canterbury), Romp 111.,.-. These seven dogs will compete for the Xew Zealand championship to-morrow morning. This event will conclude the trials. ..
