A POPULAR SPOT
A fortnight ago we published a poem and sketch", "The Winding .Hoad," by Patricia Millier, and now by strange coincidence a grown-up reader has sent us a photograph of the exact spot that Patricia sketched. We have reproduced the photo here and if you look at it beside the sketch you will see how very similar the two are. This is what the reader says about it:
"Dear Anne Shirley,—l was pleased to see in your paper a drawing of a view of which I had taken a photograph only a few weeks ago. The view was rather spoilt by a glaring white noticeboard in the centre, but I overcame this by hanging my coat over it while taking the photo. Your readers might be interested to see a photograph of the spot which Miss Millier has sketched. —Yours sincerely, H.P.8."
