DINNER AND BALL
NGATEA OLD PUPILS The annual dinner and ball of the Ngatea District High School Old Pupils' Association was held in the Public Flail recently. Representatives of the Paeroa and Thames Old Pupils' Associations were among the guests, Thames being represented by the president, Mr. W. Baker, and the secretary, Mr. D. Elisor, and Paeroa by the secretary, Mr. R. Bramlcy. The toast list was interspersed with items by Miss D. Diukling. .Miss T. Paul, Mrs. L. E. Jackson, Mr. W. J. Baxter. JNIr. S. W. Parfitt, and Mr. It. Kennedy, old pupils of the school. Attended by many people from the surrounding districts, the ball was a great success. The association's badge surrounded by greenery was placed 011 a silver background and the stage hail been effectively decorated with Iceland poppies and foliage.
