MANUKAU, CLUB'S SEASON NEW OFFICERS ELECTED The report presented at the annual meeting of the Manukau Yacht and Motor-bosit Club stated that the racing for yachts was carried out on ten days and all were well contested. The cruising races, held in conjunction with the Manukau Cruising Club, wero very popular. Mero won the open and Wt championships. Sirona tho l(>ft, Clyde the lift, Zipper tho 12ft (Jin. and Miss Manukau the motor-boat championships. The club was again represented at tho Cornwell Cup contest, held at Plimmerton in heavy weather, and. although the club was not successful, the Manukau crew, J. Taylor Bml P. Howard,, put up a good showing ,by uscuing tho crew of a capsized boat during /to contest. The club continued to maintain its membership, but with two big years ahead, the liiio Centennial celebrations and the club's o.vn jubilee in 1011, it was anticipated that there would bo a, very big increase in. fho membership in the near future. The club was represented by Aileen and Clyde'in tho trials for tho Sanders Cup contest nnd also took part in the contests for tho Goodfcllowship Cup between the Manukau. Takapuna and Tamaki Clubs. The statement'.of accounts showed a credit balance of £o7,?jn; the general fund, £7l in tho social fund, including £32 which has been set aside for the club's jubilee ia 3911, and £22 irt the Cornwell Cup fund.
