THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE GENERAL DOWNWARD TREND - Practically aii uninterrupted list of declines marked dealing on the Auckland Stock: I'Aohange yesterday. Values in almost every group again showed an easier trend. Turnover was maintained at a fairly satisfactory level. Business was freely done in Government inscribed stock at around Into rates. Banks continued to weaken, and Iscw Zealands again yielded ground. Insurances also continued the downward trend./ Front rank Australian industrials showed no signs of checking the present steady decline. Broken Hill Proprietary were marked down in/a late sale, with still lower levels at the close. In the first transfer since the beginning of tho month, Kleetrolvtic Zincs lost over 2s, New Zealand issues were fractionally weaker, but an exception was a .firming in Consolidated Bricks.
