FRANCE TO BELGIUM CONTRABAND SMUGGLED DEFENCE PAPERS FOUND THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, June 11 The French police and Customs officers have discovered an electrically-lit, cemented tunnel with an underground railway leading from the '"'Chateau Mont de Peruwels, between Mons and Valenciennes, into a house in Belgian territory, says the Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. A quantity of tobacco and other contraband, besides secret defence documents, were found. Gun-running is suspected.
The police have arrested the inmates of the chateau, a Frenchman, Roger Mitaino, and two women, Carmencita Olivares and Violette Van Biesbroeck.
