YANKEE CLIPPER
ATLANTIC CROSSINGS DOUBLE JOURNEY ENDS ARRIVAL IN AMERICA (Received May 28, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YOHK, May 27 The Yankee Clipper, on its return flight from England to America, landed at Bermuda this morning after fighting head winds of a velocity of 50 miles an hour from tho Azores. The machine landed at Port Washington, New York, at 2.48 p.m., thus completing tlie first return commercial flight to Europe. It had been planned to fly non-stop from the Azores, but a low pressure area necessitated the landing at Bermuda. It is understood that passengers will not be carried until five round trip crossings have been completed. The Atlantic Clipper, a sister-ship, has been fueled at Port Washington, in preparation for tho start of a second commercial flight.
