SOCIAL AND DANCE
SOCIETY OF ST. GEORGE SECOND OF WINTER SERIES ENTERTAINING PROGRAMME .An air of gaiety prevailed at Syinondsville. 011 Saturday night, when the Royal Society of St. George held its monthly social and dance. The members and friends were welcomed by the president, Mr. P. Heath-Preest, assisted by Mrs. P. Heath-Preest, who wore a nattier blue lace frock, with a silver coatee. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. linker and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Offer acted ns assistant hosts and hostesses. The arrangements for the evening were ui the hands of Mr. 0. C. Mason and Mr. F. M. J. Litt. A musical programme arranged by .Mrs, I''. U. Holiday and Mr. (). C. Mason included humorous sketches by Miss Jean Douglas. whistling solos by Mrs. A. C. Coleman, and songs by Mrs. I). McLaren and Mr. G. Kcssall. Mrs. JI. McCarty was the accompanist. An exhibition of the "Gavotte" was given in a beautiful set arranged by Madame Anne Speight. During the evening the large gathering of members and friends took the opportunity of wishing boil-voyage to Mr. ami Mrs. Heath-Preest. who will leave shortlv on a visit to Australia.
