CONTESTS ON SATURDAY LYNNDALE CLUB'S EVENTS A 20-mile race for seniors and a 13-mile race for juniors were held on Saturday in windy conditions by the Lynndale Amateur Cycling Club. PROFESSIONAL MEETING The Auckland Professional Cycle Club held its first inter-club open races at Sylvia Park ou Saturday. Riders from the Pukekohe, Metropolitan and Auckland Clubs tobk part in (lie 25-mile race over the Howick circuit. At half-way the leader was S. Marshall, followed by the Sheehan brothers, L. Harper and E. Fintiigan, Trrnary and S. Harris. When the riders came up the hill before crossing the Panmure bridge, T. Shechan had a commanding lead from Harris. Sheehan crossed the lino 50s ahead of the next- man. Harris, who in turn was 33s in front of ,T. P. Sheehan. A big bunch sprinted for fourth place, B.
