Martinez was bom in Barcelona 20 years ago, and went to Mexico with his parents when he was 1(1 years old. His family settled near a golf course at. Ajrna Oaliente. and he qualified as a golf professional before he took up wrestling ns u means of earning living. He spent all his spare time in practising wrestling, nnd his (treat sizo and quickness in picking up the fundamentals of the sport soon enabled him to hold his own with the professionals; consequently he decided to embark upon a ring career himself. Martinez uses a large number of holds, and is constantly looking for an opportunity to finish the match with his Corrigan body slam or his roll intr Spanish splits. He uses a terrific elbow jolt, and there is a lot of speed and power behind his flying tackles. There will be an interesting contrast, between him and Boesch.
