LABOUR'S NARROW WIN

QUEENSLAND. SEAT BRISBANE. May 25 Labour retained tho Griffiths seat by tho narrow margin of 18 votes. When the distribution of tho preferences of Mr. E. H. Graham (Protestant Labour) was completed, the figures were:—Mr. W. P. Conelan (Labour), 27,799; Mr. P. McCowan (United Australia), 27,781. A recount has been demanded, but it is not expected that this will upset the result.
