HOLIDAY IN ITALY
GREAT .WAR ANNIVERSARY. i i ROME, May 24 A semi-public holiday is being observed in Italy to-day. Many flags are flying to commemorate the day Italy entered the Great War against Germany on May 21, 1915. The newspapers are silent on the subject. A small gathering of the public gave a restrained welcome to Count Ciano, Italian Foreign Minister, on his return from Berlin after signing the pact between the two countries. King Victor Emmanuel telegraphed to Count Ciano expressing his lively satisfaction with his, work.
