C)n the other hand Richmond, which had a very close game with Papakura last Saturday, will bo anxious to improve on that display. He played A gdod game oil his first appearance in the new code last Saturday arid will considerably strerigthen the Richmond rearguard. Although the Ponsonby forwards have shoWn improvement the Richmond vanguard is likelj' td hoid superiority over its opponents. The Richmond backs also should jirove the better combination. If conditions are fine a bright exhibition Of the code should bo provided. Tho curtain-raiser will be between Mount Albert, the lending team, and City. Mount Albert should have little difficulty in taking tho honours. Tho principal match on tho No. 2 ground will be staged by Maniikau and Newton. Both teams have shown improvement and a good display is anticipated. After its good Showing against Richmond last Saturday Papakura itiay extend NOrth Shore in tho curtain-raiser.
