THE NEW DOMAIN ROAD

Sir, —Is it a fact that after the City Council lias made a beautiful road from Stanley Street to the Domain ponds it is now the intention of the City Council to grass it. in preference to a road, although all the time we are needing extra outlets to relieve the traffic in Svmonds Street. • *•

Is'nt it a waste of public money if the road is not to be used for motor traffic as originally intended. Is it going to bp allowed or are the motorists going to take notice before it's too late? H. G. McCkka.

[When it was decided, in August, 1937. to proceed with the construction of this road it was explained that the work was necessary before the council proceeded with the development of that part of the Domain, including the creation of an nboretum. As there was no immediate intention of making this a through traffic road it was decided that the formation be grassed.— Editor, Hkkald.]
