Brydon. proprietor of the Kamo Hotel, when his gun accidentally discharged this morning Mr. Brydon was walking unaccompanied over the old mine workings and clambered up a wooden terrace leading to the truck tracks to the disused pithead. Stepping off the rails lie slipped on a bed of leaves. In fall* ing one barrel of his double-barrelled shotgun discharged, the shot entering his foot and causing a deep and extensive wound. With difficulty Mr. Brydon crawled to the top of the rise, about two chains away, and from here his shouts were heard by Mr. A. Young, who lives on the Three Mile Bush road. The injured man was taken to the Whangarei Hospital, where an operation was performed.

FRACTURED LIMBS VICTIMS IN HOSPITAL FOUR MEN AND TWO BOYS VARIETY OF MISFORTUNES . Fractured limbs were responsible for the admission of six persons to the Auckland Hospital during the weekend. As he stepped off a bus to walk home on Saturday night, Mr. Thomas Mackie, dental mechanic, married, aged 46, ot 10 Shakespeare Road, Milford, fractured his ankle, and in the early hours yesterday Mr. Albert Edward Larking, labourer, single, aged 59, of 53 Cameron Street, Onehunga, fractured and dislocated his right shoulder through falling on a polished floor.

Playing at school on Friday, Stanley Morris Larking, aged nine, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Larking, of George Street, Waiuku, fell and fractured his left arm, and was brought to the hospital on Saturday. Another boy, Patrick James Fairweather, aged eight, son of Mrs. M. K. Fairweather. of 13 Pollen Street, Grey Lynn, fell at his home j'esterday and fractured his right elbow.

INJURY TO MOTORIST CARS IN COLLISION Concussion and abrasions were suffered by Mr. William Edward Clarke, married, aged 26, of 1 Cliff Road, St. Heliers, when the motor-car he was driving along Victoria Avenue, Mount Eden, shortly after 10 o'clock last evening was involved in a collision with another car. The injured man was taken in a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is not serious. WOUND IN ANKLE MISHAP WHILE RABBITING While rabbit shooting at West Tamaki on Saturday, Mr. Frederick William White, labourer, widower, aged 59, of 3 Clonbern Road, Remuera, suffered gunshot wounds in his left leg and ankle. He was taken by motorcar to the Auckland Hospital, and his condition last night was not serious. KURT ON ANZAC DAY WOMAN DIES IN HOSPITAL [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] ROTORUA, Sunday Severely injured when a motor-car in which she was riding went over a bank on the Rotorua-Haniilton main highway on Anzac Day, Mrs. Julia B. Hollibone, aged 45, of 184 Gillies Avenue, Epsom, died in the Rotorua Hospital this morning. An inquest will be held to-morrow. RUN OVER BY CHAFF CUTTER MAN'S DEATH IN HOSPITAL [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION*] CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday Following injuries inflicted when a chaff cutter passed over him last Wednesday, Mr. Arthur James Stewart, aged 22, of Kirwee, died in tho Christchurch . Public Hospital to-day. Mr. Stewart was driving a tractor at Aylesbury and fell from the vehicle.
