LANCASHIRE SOCIETY
There was a large attendance of members and friends at the fortnightly social of the Lancashire Society held in the Manchester Unity Hall on Wednesday night. The hostess, Miss Brassington, received the guests and extended a special welcome to visitors from Australia. Highland and tap dancing exhibitions were given by tho pupils of Miss Dunn, and piano-accordeon items were rendered by Master R. Thom. The president, Mr. J. Smith, on behalf of the members, wished bon voyage to Mrs. Shaw, who will leave shortly on a trip to England. Competition winners were Mrs. Palmer, Mrs. Rogers, Miss Wild, Mr. Imeson, Mr. Shearer, Mr. Grimshaw. Mr. Cutler and Mr. Shaw.
