PIONEER'S BIRTHDAY
The 88th birthday of Mrs. Ellen Wallis, of Karopiro, was celebrated today. Mrs. Wallis was horn at Chertsey, England, and was married at Cainbridge. England, in 1874, arriving in New Zealand the same year. With her husband and family she arrived at Karapiro in 1899.
