TWO KILLED
FATHER AND DAUGHTER MOTOR-CAR COLLISION MAN AND CHILD INJURED VEHICLE ROLLS OVER [JIT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCILURCH, Sunday A father and daughter were killed and a man and child were injured in a collision between two motor-cars at an intersection at Swannanoa, nine miles from Rangiora, this morning. The victims were: —
Killed Mr. William Holder, mustercr, middleaged, of Oxford. Miss Rita Holder, aged 18, also of Oxford. Injured Mr. Lawrence Dalley, married, of Oxford, serious internal injuries. Peter Rich, aged four, head injuries. Mr. Holder died five hours after his admission to the Christcliurch Public Hospital and Miss Holder died on the way to the hospital. Mr. Dalley was reported to-night to be on the seriously ill list and the condition of the child Peter Rich was described as satisfactory.
All were passengers in a saloon car ■driven by Mr. Dalloy. 'Jwo other passengers, Mrs. Florence Dalley and Miss Ina Campbell, both of Oxford, escaped
injury. The party was proceeding from Oxford to Christchurch to visit a relative of Mr. Holder in hospital, when the car met in collision with another car driven by Mr. Leslie McDonald, of Swannanoa. Mr. McDonald was the sole occupant of his vehicle. Mr. Dalley's car turned over several times after the impact.
