TRANSPORT LICENSING
HAMILTON APPLICATIONS [.FROM OUR OWN'CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Saturday A number of applications for goods and passenger service licences was heard by Mr. E. J. Phelan, No. 1 Licensing Authority, in Hamilton this week. Decision was reserved in connection with an application by Mr. H. Holtby for a passenger service licence between Auckland and Kawhia on alternate days. Mr. Phelan remarked that it was one of the duties of the authority to be sure that services could be made to pay and he proposed to make further inquiries before granting the licence. A number of applications for renewal of licences and amendments to licences was granted.
