THE HUNTER a In the parlour lurk J a bear With a grizzly, grumbly growl, In the shadows hiding there Is a hunter on the prowl. Softly through the iwilit night, Through the wooded jungle land, By the glowing fire light Steals the hunter ana his band. A'oto the shadows linger long And the firelight gentler glows, Singing now a slower song, Still the weary hunter goes. Then there comes that sleepy time, E'en a huntsman Welcomes night; Clad to rest a tousled head, Clad that nurse has left the light. —N. I. Harvey,(lß).
