YACHT RACING
COMPETITION FOR CUPS The annual inter-club contest for the Goodfellowship and Juvenile Harmony Cnps, between the Takapuna and Mannkau Yacht Clubs, will be held to-morrow on the Manukau. The events are timed to start at 1 p.m. The Manukau Club will be represented in the senior event by E. Laird (skip) and D. McLeod, while in the junior event two crews have been selected. S. Smith (skip) and J. F. Taylor, and D. Garrett (skip) and G. McLaren. The contests will be raced in Z class boats. The officers of the day are Messrs. A. Grupen and A. McLeod. HERNE BAY JUNIOR CLUB The Heme Bay Junior Yacht Club's race for the Silver Fern class, which was postponed last Saturday owing to unfavourable weather, will be held to-morrow, starting off the Ponsonby Wharf at 2 p.m. Following are the handicaps:—Rhythm, scr; Flying Cloud, 2m; Valerie, Silver Fern, 3m; Electra, a%m; Tapere, sm; Kandy Kid, s'/ 3 m; Trisha, Out; Koaniii, (IVjin; Rosalie, 7nr, Leilani, 9m; Tainui, 10m. _ „ Messrs. G. M. Dennes and L. R. Chapman will be in chargo of the racing.
