ROTORUA AERODROME
SCHEME FOR EXTENSION [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] ROTORTJA, Thursday Tho extensions proposed to the municipal aerodrome came before the Rotorua Borough Council at its meeting last evening when the Under-Sec-retary of tho Public; Works Dephrtment wroto asking tho council what progress had been made by it in its negotiations with other " interested parties regarding the extension of the aerodrome toward the north-east. Tho Mayor, Mr. T. Jackson, said that negotiations proceeding between the council and the Racing Club regarding the acquisition of land were progressing satisfactorily. He hoped as a result of a meeting of Racing Club the matter would be finalised within the near future, and moved that final arrangements be left in tho hands of the works committee. If the department was" prepared to go ahead with tho scheme, he considered the council should do all iu its power to expedite the matter. j Further details of the scheme were considered; in committee, - after which.! the Mayor'* suggestion was adopted. \
