Evergreens
Evergreen shrubs and conifers may bo planted now with safety. The sites should be dug deeply, and old manure or loaf soil worked into the lower soil. Hock phosphate is also admirable for digging into the bottom of the holes. Tho phosphate decays very slowly and forms a supply of plant food for some considerable time. Jf tho roots of the plants seem dry, they should be thoroughly soaked with water before planting.
