CATCHES OF SALMON
FISHING IN THE WAITAKI A catch of 37 salmon of a total weight of about 4001b. by a party of four men was the best taken at the Waitaki River, North Otago, over the Easter holidays. The two best fish weighed 241b. each. Several other good catches were reported, the best being of nine fish. The river, which was very low, especially near the bridge, was in splendid condition for fishing. Most of the bags were taken at the bridge, whero ■it is reported it was possible to wade , across.
