NEW CONFERENCE
PALESTINE DISPUTE , SETTLEMENT EFFORf DELEGATES FROM PARTIES ASSEMBLY AT CAIRO By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON. April 11 The arrival of representatives of the various parties in Palestine can be regarded as a new move to settle the dispute, says the Cairo correspondent of the British LTnited Press. It is believed that a round table conference will be called shortly to endeavour to find a rapid solution in view of the international situation. t^y In response to an invitation by the Egyptian Government, Dr. Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency in Palestine, arrived in Cairo and had a conference with the Premier, Mahmoud Pasha. The Egyptian Ambassador to London has also arrived at Cairo with fresh proposals from Britain. Emir Feisal and other Palestinian leaders are at present in Cairo. The Irakian delegate will arrive to-morrow, Reuter's Cairo representative states that the Saudi Arabian,-^lrakian and Egyptian delegates will meet the Premier to-morrow to discuss the British suggestions.
HAPLESS REFUGEES JEWS WITH NO HOMES AFLOAT IN MEDITERRANEAN THIRD SHIP TURNED BACK LONDON. April 11 One thousand Jewish refugees are afloat in the Mediterranean, being without a country after having been refused admission to Palestine, says a message from Jerusalem. The Greek steamer Assaim, when attempting to smuggle in 200 Jews, was seized. This makes tho third shipload turned back during tho Passover festival. The Jerusalem correspondent of tho Times says approximately- 1000 Jews, not counting their wives and minors, are to be admitted to Palestine in April at a rate substantially unaltered. The maximums allowed are 110 capitalists, 220 students, 110 labourers, 440 dependants and 30 church officials.
