STOLEN MOTOR-CAR
DAMAGE IN COLLISION DISAPPEARANCE OF DRIVER [by telegraph—OWN cobbespondent] PALMERSTON NORTH. Wednesday A motor-car that was involved in a collision with a municipal, bus at the corner of Albert and Grey Streets, Palmerston North, at about 2.30 this afternoon was subsequently identified as the property of Mr. P. of Durie Hill, Wanganui. It was reported to have been stolen by some person unknown. Following the collision, the driver of the bus, Mr. K.I-L Kersel, reported the fact to the police arid the traffio department of the City Council. It was then discovered that the vehicle was one missing from Wanganui, but, when a search was made for the.), driver, he had disappeared. The car was damaged extensively.
