MAORI'S FALL FROM HORSE [by TKLKGRATH OWN COnRESrONDKNT] GISBOBXE, Wednesday A verdict that death was due to laceration of the brain as a result of falling from a horse was returned at an inquest at Buatoria yesterday into the death of Toko Hona, aged 53, who died on April 1. A lorry driver gave evidence that he saw the deceased lying on the roadside at midnight, and saw him again two and a-half hours later when passinc the same spot. Witness did not disturb the deceased, thinking that he was sleeping off the effects of liquor. Deceased was there at 8 o'clock the next morning, and was taken to i* near by residence, where he died without regaining consciousness.
