ARRESTED AT HOUSE
CHARGES AGAINST TWO MEN REMAND UNTIL NEXT WEEK [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION*] HASTINGS, Wednesday When they appeared in the Napier Police Court yesterday on a charge of breaking and entering a dwelling by night, Roy Xocolas Courlander, a clerk, aged 24, of Wellington, and John Kitching Matterson, labourer, aged 30, of Petone, were remanded until April 17 by Mr. J. Miller, 5.M.,-on the application of Detective-Sergeant H. Nuttall. "The matter is rather serious," said Mr. Nuttall. "The occupant of the house in question has been injured, and is at present receiving medical attenTlie detective-sergeant added that the men were strangers to the town, having arrived in Napier on the night on which the alleged crime was committed. They were arrested at the dwelling at 10.20 p.m. on Monday, following an alarm given by the householder, Kathleen Reston, who surprised them.
