WOMEN VOLUNTEERS THOUSANDS IN BRITAIN LONDON, April 7 Women volunteers for the London air defence corps have outnumbered men in recent weeks, Mr. Herbert Morrison, M.P., said in a speech at the Mansion House to-day. He added that 2500 men volunteered ' for the 3000 first-aid vacancies, and 16,000 women volunteered for 13,000 vacancies. Also, 5000 women volunteered for 3000 vacancies in the communications and miscellaneous categories. Mr. Morrison said they were seeking 17,000 women ambulance drivers from Lpndon's 34,000 women drivers.
