AFTERNOON PARTY
BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED An enjoyable linen afternoon was given yesterday j>t the Lyceum Club by Mrs. J. W. Lowe, assisted by Miss Beatrice Lowe, in honour of Miss Peggy Beaumont, who is shortly to be married. Mrs. Lowe received her guests wearing black and white patterned crepe de chine, and a black hat. Miss Lowe was in powder blue crepe relieved with burgundy, and burgundy hat; Mrs. Beaumont, mulberry crepe de chine, with silver hrocade relief and mulberry hat, and Miss Peggy Beaumont, a petunia patterned frock and navy suede cap. Trump whist was played, the prizewinner being Miss Mary Finluv, Miss Betty Ricliwhito being awarded the consolation prize. The guests included Mrs. W. H. Parkes, Mrs. J. Nutter, Mrs. A. T. Griffith, Mrs. Arthur Churton, Mrs. L. Fish, Mrs. R. Collins. Mrs. H. Macindoe, Miss Margaret Kidd, Miss Mary Finlay, Miss Duleio Boucher, Miss Betty Richwhite, Miss Mary Somers, Miss Joyce Sheath, Miss Sybil Stewart, Miss Barbara Court, Miss Blair-Mason. Miss Betty Coe, Miss Barbara Tiarks.
