NOISY MILK ROUNDS
Sir,—l have lived in Day Street now for five years and not once can I , I have ever slept all through the night without being woken up with the dreadful rattling of milk carts. J lie street has six houses 011 one side and eleven on the other side, and ] am sure the noise that is made and the number 01 milkmen that are in the street is unequalled elsewhere. It is not fair to the residents to put up with such undue commotion from the earlv hours of 3 to 3.30 a.m. until 7 o'clock. It is just one continual din. Cannot something be done to stop such disturbance, with rubber-tyred wheels or roundsmen who would not race their horses through such a short street. Also, the condition of the roadway is a disgrace, with ruts and holes to add to the disturbance of milk carls rattling through it, does not improve it Much Anxoykd.
