AIR RAID COMMITTEE
MOUNT ALBERT COUNCIL A motion that a protest be entered against the personnel of the Women's Air Raid Precautions Auxiliary set up in Auckland was defeated on the casting vote of the Mayor, Mr. H. A. Anderson, at the monthly meeting of the Mount Albert Borough Concil last night. The motion, which was moved by Mr. H. Barnes, further requested that the executive of the Auckland Air Raid Precautions Committee should see that such an auxiliary should be representative of all sections of the community, Mr. Barnes making an allegation that tiie qualifications for membership of the existing auxiliary were social and residential.
