NEW CABINET RESIGNS SOCIALISTS' OPPOSITION BRUSSELS, Feb. 27 The new Cabinet headed bv M. Pierlot has resigned. The committee of the Socialist Party previously decided to oppose the proposals of the Finance Minister, who required, as a first measure for the adjustment of the financial situation, a 5 per cent cut in the salaries of civil servants. The committee also declared it to be impossible to co-operate in the deflation policy. M. Pierlot, a Catholic member of the Senate, formed his Cabinet last Tuesday.
