COLLISION AT CORNER
MOTORISTS IN HOSPITAL When the car in which they were travelling was involved in a collision with a motor-lorry at the corner of Dominion Road and Mount Albert Road yesterday morning Mr. Harry Andrew Mayhill, land agent, aged 57, and his wife, Mrs. Jean Maria Mayhill, of Ridge Road, Waikowhai, suffered injuries necessitating their admission to the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Mayhill received head injuries and concussion and Mrs. Mayhill suffered shock. The car was travelling along Dominion Road toward the city, and the lorry, owned by J. J. Craig, Limited, was being driven along Mount Albert Road. The vehicles met at the intersection, the car being extensively damaged. The injured motorists were taken to the Auckland Hospital by St. John ambulance. Neither wan in a serious I condition last night.
