WATERWORKS LOAN
NORTHCOTE PROPOSAL SUBMISSION TO RATEPAYERS Advice was received by the Northcote Borough Council at its meeting last night that the Local Government Loans Board had sanctioned the submission to a poll of ratepayers of the proposal to raise a loan of £4500 for waterworks extensions. It was decided to hold tho poll on March 29. Tho scheme includes tho construction of an. addition: to the reservoir increasing the holding capacity by a further 2fjo,t)oo gallons, laying a sijciiicli water main in Onewa road, the prbvisipn of a gas chlormator, and the cement lining of tho water mains from the junction of Ocean View Road and Raleigh Road to Lake Road. Tho term of the proposed loan is 00 years and the interest per cent, with a sinking fund of 2 per cent.
