PINNED UNDER CAR
ORDEAL FOR NURSE J VICTIM ESCAPES LIGHTLY [bt telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBORNE, Friday Injuries fortunately of a light nature were suffered by Sister Pritchard, the district nurse at Matawai, when her car overturned opposite Mr. A. Blair's homestead on the Matawai-Motu Road. Sister Pritchard was pinned beneath the car and was there for some time before she could Ibe extricated. The accident was not witnessed bj T anyone, but by sounding the horn continuously Sister Pritchard was able to attract the attention of Mrs. A. Pilmer, who lives in the vicinity. Mrs. Pilmer was unable to get Sister Pritchard out and had to secure help from the township. The car was extensively damaged and much glass lay about, but the driver had a fortunate escape from serious injury, although i>he was badly shaken and bruised.
