DISTINGUISHED SOLDIER In search of a peaceful life, Major Eric Dry den, M.C., formerly Town Major of Jerusalem and chieE claims officer with the British Forces in Palestine. is contemplating buying one of the small Seychelles islands in the Indian Ocean. Ho lias left Newcastle-on-Tyno on the first stage of his journey, and is sailing from Antwerp on an 11,000-ton cargo ship for the Seychelles. The voyage, by way of the Cape and Madagascar, will take two and a-half months. Major Dry den, a native of Newcastle, lias had an adventurous Army career in many parts of the world. He retired last year. He is a bachelor. The Seychelles comprise 101 islands with a total area of 156 square miles.
