NEW KARAPIRO BRIDGE
WORK NEAR COMPLETION OPENING EARLY IN APRIL [from our own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Friday The final work is being done on the new Karapiro Bridge, and unless anything unforeseen occurs, the structure will bo open for traffic early in April. The Karapiro half of the bridge has been completed, except for the fitting of the panels in the side rails. Work on tho decking is being pushed ahead on the other half, and it is likely to be laid in concrete within a fortnight. One of the main works ahead is the filling in of the approaches at each end. The roadway is taking shape under contract- labour, and should be completed about the same time as tho bridge.
