UNWANTED ANIMALS
Si r> —As one who spends a good deal of time and money caring for and getting rid of other peoples discarded animals, 1 have read with interest the letters on this subject published in your columns. 1 wish it were • ossible to fiye offenders heavily. It is not a question of poverty, tor 1 have been told of cats having been dropped from cars. Owners of cars could quite well pay a small fee for painless destruction. Some people 1 know of found an old and well-bred dog which they kept and eared for, but tlio aniinal, whenever & car stopped anywhere near the gate, was out at once to look for his loved owners —owners who had valued hiß devotion so little that they could cast him off like an old garment. Another Sympathiser.
