PROPOSED £150,000 FUND

THE METHODIST CHURCH [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION) CHRISTCHURCH. Friday The Methodist Church of New Zealand will endeavour to raise a centennial thanksgiving fund of not less than £150.000 during 1940. The proposal, which was introduced by the president-elect, tlie Rev. L. B. Neale. at the annual conference of the Church to-day, was received with enthusiastic approval. After some discussion the matter was referred to the Home Missions Board, which was authorised to set up special committees in each district.
