THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE VALUES AGAIN WEAKER There was a rather irregular trend on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Values in most cases again tended to weaken, and although turnover was larger, buying interest appeared to be only scattered. The gilt-edged section remained easier. The inquiry for hanks extended slightly, but National of New Zealands suffered a further setback. Holders of New Zoalands were prepared to accept ruling rates. Insurances were another section which weakened, lipth New Zealands and South British lost ground, with no support for the former at the close. Most of the industrial issues were fairly steady. The drop in Woolworths (N.Z.) continued and a sale was made at a low level. The Sydney scrip also dropped slightly. M.K. Manufacturers again changed hands cheaper. The Exchange will be closed this morning on account of the Auckland Show.
